HYDRO Infusions Donates $500 to The DONNA Foundation
We recently had the pleasure of donating $500 to The DONNA Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance and support to those living with breast cancer while funding groundbreaking breast cancer research.
“Breast cancer is a terrible disease,” said Travis Jeffords, Founder of HYDRO Infusions. “I’m glad we could support The DONNA Foundation in their efforts to help breast cancer survivors and those currently living with breast cancer.”
Breast cancer is the second most common cancer diagnosed in women in the United States, after skin cancer. Primarily found in women, it can also occur in men. Each year, around 255,000 women and 2,300 men are diagnosed with breast cancer. Of those, around 42,000 women and 500 men die each year.
The DONNA Foundation was founded in June 2003 by Donna Deegan, an award-winning journalist and three-time breast cancer survivor, to meet the critical financial needs of the underserved living with breast cancer. Since its creation, The DONNA Foundation has helped over 15,500 families with financial services and debt relief each year. The nonprofit has also dispensed out $3.3 million to translational genomics and immune studies.
To help this wonderful organization, HYDRO Infusions held a promotion during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We donated a portion of sales from HYDRO Bank memberships sold in October to the foundation. In return, members would receive 30% off services for the entire length of the membership.
“Donna Deegan is one of the strongest people I’ve met in my life,” said Jeffords. “Thank you to everyone who bought a membership in support of her and The DONNA Foundation. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of breast cancer survivors and their families, as well as those currently diagnosed.”
